Hindi filmmaking is possible for Bangalore too - says Karan Rao

The popular model and the co-producer of the movie “Station – The Film” believes that Bangaloreans can make films within the influence of Bollywood. Karan Rao is popular ramp model in Bangalore as well as in Delhi and Mumbai. Now, he is back to give the city of Bangalore a new way by producing the film and by giving the chance to new talents to showcase their capabilities. When most models are turning their way from ramp walk to acting, this is Karan who changed his path to enter into filmmaking.  Station is the debut film within the production of the model. He was always had interest in filmmaking and he also did the filmmaking course during his career in modeling.

When Karan decided to switch his career?

When director Saad Khan working with Ashutosh Gowarikar, Karan met Saad Khan and finally decided to take this plunge. Actually, the model met Saad in a fashion show and Saad decided to meet with him next day with the new ideas of story of the film. Karan was very impressed with the story of Station and he adds “This is the great story” and decided to appreciate new talents of Bangalore. With this movie, they want to prove that Bangalore can also produce Hindi Feature Films and with no lack of anything.

The producers of the film didn’t take actors from Mumbai because they didn’t want. With lots of Bangaloreans, Station is the dark thriller shot entirely in Bangalore by RED MX Camera. When it comes to the story, the film revolves around three psychotic assassins who were common men with regular jobs and they get involved in illegal acts at night. Karan Says, “Without the support, it would not has been possible to complete this great project”. Despite of having tighter budget, they have understanding professionals who didn’t charged extra for their services. They also got help from students of various media colleges.

About Station The Film

There were many challenged faced by the directors and producers of the film. First challenge is technology in film making in this city. They have to stay connected with the sources available from Mumbai. In addition, they have to make the film within tight budget and with no lack of anything which plays a great role in production of this film. Obviously, this film is set to entertain audiences in its own pace.

Bottom Line

Station is shot in RED MX which is the special camera used in shooting of films. This was quite not possible to make the whole film in Bangalore because there are some sources only available in Mumbai because this is the hub of film industry. In this way, they were decided to keep going with the project in Bangalore because they cannot move to Mumbai by packing up everything. Finally against many challenges, they successfully make the movie and it is set to release this year. However, the release date hasn’t decided yet. But it’s trailer is making a huge buzz in social media.
