A
technical crew of film consists of the group of people who are hired by the
production house for the production of film or motion picture. In reality, crew
is beyond star cast who are actors appeared in front of camera or they provide
their voice for their characters in the movie, the producers who are sometimes
financers of the film and the intellectual property rights of the film.

Producer:
The producer is responsible to make situations for the movie. He coordinates,
initiates, supervises and controls the financial matters along with
distribution and hiring peoples. The producer plays an important role in almost
all phases of the process of filmmaking.
Production Manager:
The main job of production manager is to supervise the physical sides of the
production along with technology, personnel, budget and scheduling. The
production manager ensures the filmmaking is on schedule and going within budget.
He also manages operation costs like production costs, salaries and daily
rental costs for daily budget management. The production managers also work
under line producer or supervise directly production coordination.
Unit manager:
The work of a unit manager is almost similar to production manager but he is
limited only for shooting of the unit.
Production coordinator:
He works as the information nexus for the production team and all logistics
from renting equipments, hiring crew and booking talent. In short, the
production coordinator is a very important part in film production.
Director:
The film director is responsible basically to overlook all the creative aspects
of the film along with content creating and the plot of film. As the name suggests,
he directs the actors’ performances, selects and organizes the shooting
location of the film and manages technical aspects like shooting camera
positioning, lighting and timing of action and sound. When the director
utilizes a great deal of power in shooting, he or she also assists the
producer. In fact, some directors also work as a producer apart from working on
direction.
Stunt coordinator:
When most films demand stunts and involve duplicates and stunt performers, the
stunt coordinators arranges the casting and stunts and they assist the director
closely.
Script supervisor:
Also known as continuity person, the job of script supervisor is to keep track
on the script parts to be played and make the deviations between what parts
have been filmed actually and what have appeared in the script. In this way,
the script supervisor also keeps an eye on blocking, props and other essential
details to ensure that the continuity is going on from each shot and scene. The
notes of supervisor are sent to the editor who will continue the process of
editing. The script supervisor also works on set with the director.
